Frequently Asked Questions

What will a typical workday look like on a construction site?

On your volunteer day, you will sign-in on arrival at the site. Then, our staff will provide a short overview of Habitat give a safety orientation. Please note that safety is very important to us and your presence at the safety orientation is mandatory.

After orientation, supervisors will break the group into smaller teams, if necessary, and teach everyone the tasks for the day. If there is ever anything you are asked to do that you are uncomfortable with, the supervisor will be happy to help you get comfortable with the task or find another task for you.

We are grateful for you and want you to enjoy yourselves.

It’s up to you! We can accommodate schedules, but for our Volunteer Days we ask for full day commitments.

Our Restore location is open Tuesday-Saturday’s excluding holidays.
